Who we are
So Drainage Solutions is a drainage contractor based at Cutforth Way, Romsey, Hampshire SO51 0BG. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us on 07940 156407 or at sodrainage@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you contact us by phone, email or through a form on this website, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, postcode or address, and a description of the drainage problem. If we carry out work for you, we also keep records relating to that job, such as site notes, survey footage and invoices.
We do not ask for and do not need special category data. Please do not send us sensitive personal information you do not want us to hold.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and give you an estimate.
- To arrange, carry out and complete drainage work.
- To invoice you and keep proper accounting records.
- To keep a record of what was found and done on site, which matters if the same drain gives trouble later.
- To meet legal, tax and insurance obligations.
Our lawful bases are your consent when you make an enquiry, performance of a contract once you instruct us, our legitimate interest in running and improving the business, and compliance with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not pass it on for marketing. We share it only where necessary: with the service providers that run our website, email, enquiry handling and accounting systems, with our insurers or professional advisers where a claim or dispute makes it necessary, and with anyone we are legally required to disclose it to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for a short period and then deleted. Records relating to completed work, including invoices, are kept for at least six years to meet tax and insurance requirements, and then deleted.
Cookies and this website
This site uses only what is needed for the pages to work. Pages that show a Google map embed load content from Google, which may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us on 07940 156407 or at sodrainage@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
